Allama Muhammad Iqbal was born in sialkot on November 9,1877.His forefathers belonged to Kashmir. His Father Sheikh Noor Muhammad was a religious and pious man. His Mother Imam Bibi was also a pious lady. Their training deeply impressed his life. He completed his studies of the Holy Quran in early age. He passed his Matriculation Examination from the local Mission High school. He Passed his intermediate Examination from Murray College Sialkot. He Joined the Government College Lahore and passed his M.A. in Philosophy. He went abroad for higher education. He studied law in England and became a barrister. Then he went to Germany where he studied philosophy and was awarded a PH.D degree. He  came back and started his law practice in Lahore. He spent most of his time in poetry. In his poetry he gave the Muslims the message of hope. He took active part in politics. He gave the idea of Pakistan. He asked Quaid e Azam to accept the leadership  of the Muslim league in the struggle for achieving Pakistan.  He passed away on 21st of April 1938. He was buried in Lahore near the Badshahi Mosque. The names of his books are Bang e Dira, Baal e Jibrael, Zarb e Kaleem, Payam e Mmashriq , Javed Nama, Zaboor e Ajam and Asrar e Khudi. May his soul rest in peace!
